Who can apply for model opportunities at Tone?

Anyone! We celebrate everyone's texture, length, and density and know how important it is for our team to be trained in those areas. Different opportunities may require different types of hair, so we ask that all models apply and let us know as many details as possible so we can pick the best candidates for each opportunity. You do not need to be a current guest to be considered for model services or pricing. We invite anyone to apply here.

The cost of each opportunity varies. Some services will be complimentary, and some will be discounted up to 90% of the total cost of the service. We may require a deposit for opportunities in which a photographer or videographer will be present. If you show up on the day of the service, the deposit will be refunded to you. We accept all major credit cards, cash, and tap payments for model opportunities.

What is the pricing structure for model opportunities?

Because we offer a variety of opportunities, your experience will be tailored to the opportunity you are selected for. You will receive details via email before the opportunity date, and we will relay as many details as possible in the model opportunity application form. For services performed by associate stylists, they have graduated certain parts of training before they even take on model appointments, but for extra security, they are backed by our mentors, Kylie & Kimber for any questions or concerns.

What can I expect from the experience of being a model?

For most model opportunities, you can make requests for the services performed. Please keep in mind that these opportunities are for the stylist to refine their skills, so if you can't request a certain result, that will be noted in the application process. This mainly applies to photoshoots and test outs for associates and stylists.

Can I request a specific cut or style or color as a model?

You are not required to provide extension hair for the service. However, for most model opportunities for extension services, we require that you purchase the extension hair needed for the service. We do offer this at an extreme discount. You will also receive a complimentary 50% discount on your first maintenance appointment. Models must be comfortable with phots & videos taken of them during the service.

I want to be a model for extensions. Do I need to provide my own hair?

Q: How do I book a model opportunity?
A: Model opportunities are by application only. You can find that application here. If you are booking a service with an associate stylist, that can be done by heading to our booking page.


I have other questions about booking and my results. Help?

Q: What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
A: Due to the nature of these opportunities, we do not allow rescheduling. If you need to cancel, please give us as much notice as possible so we can search out a new candidate.


Q: Can I schedule a follow-up?
A: Absolutely! If you would like to book a standard service with one of our stylists, you can do so while you are in the salon or our team will reach out within a few days to schedule.


Q: Will I receive instructions to help maintain the results at home?
A: Of course! That is a standard of customer care at Tone Salon. You should always leave feeling confident that you can recreate and maintain your look at home.


Q: Is there an age requirement for model opportunities?
A: Generally, there is no requirement. We ask that all mopdels are okay with photo/video content being taken during the service, and that models can sit for extended periods of times, sometimes hours. This makes these opportunities for minor children difficult.


Q: What if I am unhappy with my results?
A: We appreciate that if you are unahppy with your results, you reach out to us vis email or phone as soon as possible so we can make adjustments. Please keep in mind that these opportunities are typically for a specific service so the results can be adjusted, but not changed.
